Meet The World at Your Feet

Kim Pitingolo and Coley Nelson are working women by day and world travelers by night. Okay, that’s not 100% true, but these two best friends spent the past four years making lists of their goals and dreams and then finding ways to make them happen. Between the two of them, they’ve rung in the new year at Times Square in New York City, volunteered with hurricane relief in New Orleans, hiked glaciers, and jumped out of planes – just to name a few. In the summer of 2011, they decided to spend their last summer of college making memories and crossing things off their bucket lists as they backpacked through New Zealand, Australia, Thailand, and Laos. That’s when The World at Your Feet was born. Now as recent college graduates, you can continue to join them on their adventures (and misadventures) as they show you how incredibly awesome the world can be when you realize that it’s just at your feet.

Kim Pitingolo

Kim is a 20-something, adventure-seeking, culture junkie with the desire to inspire. Kim caught the travel bug while studying in Australia in 2009 and hasn’t been the same since. Armed with coffee in one hand and her camera in the other, she aspires to improve global awareness and advance intercuturalism through her travel blogs, videos, and photography. She is determined to prove to the world that it’s possible to travel on a ridiculously low budget. Kim’s idols include: Carmen San Diego, Anthony Bourdain, and The Lost Girls.

Kim is currently teaching English in Thailand. You can follow her adventures living and working in Thailand here.

Coley Nelson

Coley is a 20-something firecracker from the ‘burbs of Chicago who hopes to spread positive light and learn about kick-ass culture wherever her travels may lead. Coley aspires to work in the hospitality industry so she can get sweet discounts at Disneyworld. Kidding. But really, she hopes to help people realize the value of travel and make their travel dreams a reality. Hobbies/boarderline obsessions include: dance, The Food Network, & her sorority, Phi Mu.
